At Girls Leave A Mark, we understand what it means to go without—because we’ve lived it. The GLAMCloset and GLAMPantry were created from a place of raw truth, resilience, and purpose.
Our founder, Simone McFarlane-Tucker, remembers the pain of poverty all too well. She once had to use a sanitary pad as a diaper because she couldn’t afford a $5 pack of pampers. She borrowed her sister’s clothes to attend job interviews, clinging to hope that someone would see her potential beyond her circumstances.
These programs exist today because Simone refused to let that be the end of her story—and she’s now building the bridge so other young parents don’t have to suffer in silence.
